To apply for the TRIO/STAARS Program, please fill out an Application. Return the form to the TRIO/STAARS Director, Susan Andrien, in the Learning Center (Room 5100, under the Skyline Library in Building 5). Or email the form to Susan: andriens@smccd.net.
If you have not heard from the program within two weeks, please call (650) 738-4144 to ensure that we have received your form.
After your application has been reviewed and your eligibility has been verified, you will receive a letter inviting you to make an appointment for an Intake Session with the TRIO Director or another staff member. During this meeting, you will talk about any concerns you have about academic success, and the staff member will identify services that we can provide to assist you. Then you will receive a TRIO folder to record your progress and you will meet the staff who are available to help you in the learning Center. |
